Who We Are

Chris Stevens, owner of CMS Beverage Consulting, has been working in the industry for almost 20 years. Throughout this period, Chris has gained experience in various areas of the industry, such as distribution, operational management, sales management, and supplier logistics, which together contribute to the services provided by CMS Enterprises.

Chris initially started his business career in the field of finance, which allows him to approach his client relationships with their financial priorities in mind. This financial acumen, combined with his extensive industry experience, enables Chris to offer a unique perspective and valuable insights to his clients, helping them achieve their business goals efficiently and effectively.

What We've Accomplished

Who: A Tequila Brand.

The Problem: Struggling to stand out in the quickly growing tequila market, especially getting a foot in the door with distributors inundated with new tequila pitches every week.

The Solution: First, we identified the standout features of the product line that separated it from the pack. The history, quality, and positive impact initiatives of the brand made a premium yet accessible positioning clear. We leveraged this new angle to get into a handful of key distributors and have used a patented expansion plan from there to continue geographic and volume expansion.

The Result: Growth from less than 2,000 cases in 2019 to over 30,000 cases in 2024.

Who: A craft spirits brand with multiple product lines, including whiskey, vodka, brandy, liqueur, rum, and more.

The Problem: Difficulties navigating line expansions while still growing core SKU's.

The Solution: After identifying the key strengths of the core product line, we dove into why the brand needed to add further SKU's. We then aligned the line expansions with key brand KPI's in order to make priorities clear between expanding the core line and adding new offerings. We then executed on this plan, using our sales expertise and industry knowledge to strategically introduce new SKU's to locales that would better validate the products.

The Result: Experienced double digit growth YoY over the last four years.
